John T. McQueen, CFSP
Director of Client Experience
John T. McQueen joined The Foresight team in September 2020 as Director of Client Experience. He is responsible for maintaining relationships with current clients of The Foresight Companies as well as expanding our client base. His focus will be to drive the customer experience to the next level and achieve innovative results.
A native of St. Petersburg, FL, John is a second-generation funeral director & embalmer. The youngest of three children, John began his career in the “family business” working part-time during high school and college. When he was 22, John’s father died unexpectedly thrusting John into a leadership role in their company at a relatively young age. Over the next 20+ years, John and his siblings grew the enterprise into one of the best-known brands in the funeral industry.
In 2010, John bought out his partners and with his wife, Nikki, continued to grow the company’s footprint into Florida’s largest family-owned funeral operation. Once dubbed “the most innovative guy in funeral service”, John & Nikki remained leading innovators in funeral service introducing many new concepts, including the world’s first Bio-Cremation (a.k.a. “Flameless Cremation”) process that utilizes water instead of fire.
In 2017, John sold his family’s funeral enterprise to Foundation Partners Group, a privately held national consolidator based in Orlando. John has served as the Managing Director, Innovation & Professional Development and most recently as Vice-President of Customer Experience for Foundation Partners Group, which serves nearly 40,000 families annually through 120+ properties in 19 states.
John received his B.A. in Business Administration from Saint Leo University where he graduated cum laude. He also graduated Valedictorian from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. He earned his MBA with a specialization in Hospitality Management from Florida Atlantic University, where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society
John has served on numerous local, state, and national boards within the funeral and cemetery industry. He is an internationally recognized speaker and trainer. Most recently, he and Nikki have authored their book entitled “Lessons from the Dead: Breathing Life Into Customer Service.”
John and Nikki have two children and one grandson. Their daughter, Bailee, is pursuing her MFA in Musical Performance at the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), and their son, Josh, a former Division 1 swimmer at Florida Atlantic University is now completing his Master’s in History at Liberty University while working as a teacher at a private school in Chicago where he lives with his fiancée, Lindsey, an actuary at KPMG. John and Nikki enjoy spending time with family, volunteering, traveling, and most recently, working on their farm in North Florida.
